Andros Island is the largest and least-explored island in The Bahamas. It's a 2,300 square mile island paradise. There are three main towns on Andors - Nicholl's Town to the north, Fresh Creek, and Kemp's Bay to the south. All are accessible by boat and plane connections from Miami and Nassau.

The diverse island is full of wildlife. Southern Andros is where you'll find one of nature's last great mangrove forests in the Bahamas. Andros is a diver's dream with the third-largest barrier reef in the world, more than 120 miles long. From the reef, the ocean drops off to a depth of more than 6,000 feet.

Andros is a huge draw for people looking for unforgettable fishing trips in the Bahamas. The island is known as the bonefishing capital of the world, and its miles of unexplored mudflats provide for some of the best fly fishing on the planet. The bonefish off Andros are said to be the world's largest.

Nicholl's Town Beach

If you are staying near the island's capital, spend a day at Nicholl's Town Beach and enjoy powder soft and pearl white sand. You'll find a half mile strip of heaven. With various conch stall near by and an old hotel to explore, this beach can entertain the entire family all day long.

Love Hill Beach
This beach goes on for miles, literally. Love Hill is a perfect spot for snorkelers and new divers. The best thing about this beach is that other then your random hand fisherman you will have miles of beautiful beach all to yourself.

Summerset Beach
Summerset Beach was named after the millions of shells that lay spread across the shore resembling the setting sun. Unlike other beaches, Summerset's is a great big sand bank, making this spot ideal for young children, sun bathers, and waders.

Snorkeling & Scuba Diving
You can enjoy the abundant marine wildlife surrounding Andros Island year round with the average 80°F temperature of the crystal clear, blue waters.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned snorkeler, there's plenty of great snorkeling on Andros Island. The best time for snorkeling from shore is within two hours before or after high tide.


Divers from all over the world come to explore the Andros barrier reef. It's the third largest reef in the world and is easily accessible, beginning a few hundred yards offshore. Some of the most diverse sea creatures can be seen here.
